Job Title: Senior Safety Specialist (Heavy Industrial)
Location: 100% project-based travel - United States

Anticipated Salary Range: $75,000 - $96,000 annually
Additional Compensation: When assigned to project-related travel, you will receive a travel allowance and per diem for the duration of your assignment. Company truck for business use.

As a Senior Safety Specialist, you will help inspire and maintain an “Extraordinary” safety culture by supporting project safety initiatives, partnering with site leadership, and helping create a collaborative jobsite environment where everyone goes home safe every day.

In this role, you’ll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and safety leadership to support safety planning, training, inspection, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts across assigned project sites. You’ll play an important role in identifying and controlling hazardous conditions, supporting pre-planning activities, communicating safety trends, and serving as a trusted safety resource and mentor for project staff.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $96,000 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Construction Management, or another related field required; equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • At least two years of experience in construction and/or industrial safety required.
  • Ability to support site leadership in developing safety plans and coordinating subcontractor safety requirements.
  • Experience supporting safety orientations, training programs, inspections, audits, and project pre-planning activities such as Safety Task Analysis and Job Hazards Assessment.
  • Ability to review safety documentation, track required inspections, support accident investigations, and ensure required reports are complete, accurate, and submitted according to established procedures.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, accountability, decision quality, and customer focus skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly and work on-site at construction sites.

Nice to Have

  • First aid and/or CPR certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting high-risk activity planning, project lifecycle safety planning, safety metrics review, and project-level safety goal management.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required, and individuals in this role may be subject to an annual Motor Vehicle Records check.
