Safety Manager Job Responsibilities:
- Conducts drills, such as fire drills, to ensure equipment is properly functioning and staff are aware of what to do in emergencies.
- Responds to and investigates accidents and emergencies related to fires, chemical hazards or misuse of equipment.
- Ensures the organization is compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts trainings to ensure awareness of regulations and compliance to policies.
- Maintains communication and acts as a liaison with outside agencies and businesses.
- Serves as the EOSCENE Administrator for the Environment of Care committee.
- Surveys departments and staff for compliance with the Chemical Hazard Communication Program.
- Ensures that Material Safety data sheets are maintained and available for use in a central location.
- Assists department leadership in preparing for emergency and disaster-related events.
- Assists and supports in Helipad and Flight Operations safety.
- Ensures that hazard surveillance surveys and assessments are completed and documented by inspecting the workplace for potential hazards, identifying potential hazards, assessing risk and reporting potential hazards.
- Manages and coordinates fire prevention surveys/assessments and initiates corrective action on identified deficiencies.
- Maintains current fire emergency plans.
- Supports the design/construction projects for building safety and assists with oversight of contractor documentation per regulatory policies.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.

- Accident/Emergency response and investigation (Fire, chemical hazards, misuse of equipment)
- Supervision of environment of care management plans
- Drill planning and conduction (in partnership with Emergency Management)
