Description

We are division of Pavement Preservation Group (PPG), a dynamic and growing pavement preservation company. Holbrook Asphalt has been a trusted name in the industry for over 25 years, providing high-quality asphalt products and expert construction services to customers across the United States.

Overview: The Safety Manager ensures a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and maintaining safety policies in compliance with OSHA guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting audits, investigating incidents, managing Workers' Compensation cases, and providing employee training. This role works closely with personnel across the organization to identify hazards and promote a strong safety culture.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for incident investigations.
  • Ability to develop and enforce safety policies effectively.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around facilities and job sites for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry safety equipment and PPE up to 25 pounds.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor and industrial settings.
  • Wear required PPE, such as safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and respiratory protection.
  • Travel as needed for site inspections and training.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Safety/Safety Management preferred

· 2 – 5 years of experience working in a safety capacity is preferred

· Computer literacy is a must {Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

· Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

· Organized and detail-oriented to self-manage projects and priorities

· Ability to speak Spanish is not required but would be a definite plus

Salary Description
$60,000 to $65,000 per year
