Rohadfox Construction Control Services is looking for a Site Safety professional to support the ongoing construction infrastructure expansion for our Client located in Atlanta, GA. The overview of projects have included:

‘Construction of new air cargo warehouse facilities, building a 4-star hotel, building two new end-around taxiways, revitalizing the domestic terminal and Concourses T South through C as well as the transportation mall, adding parking by replacing the North and South domestic parking decks, and revitalizing fire station; other projects as required. Construction value of $6.4 Billion. You as a Site Safety professional will be assigned where needed, by the Safety Manager.’

REQUIREMENTS

  • Review the contractors' Safety and Security Plans, and Hazardous Communications Manuals to be submitted by each prime contractor.
  • Coordinate contractor site-specific safety program(s). Plan strategy for monitoring contractors' safety compliance during the performance of daily construction activities.
  • Identify deficiencies for corrective action.
  • Facilitate reporting, investigation, and corrective action in case of incidents
  • Develop, maintain and execute procedures to observe and verify performance of construction safety and security activities.
  • Maintain documentation in retrievable state for evidence of safety and security implementation.
  • Follow-up with contractors to ensure deficiencies in safety and security programs are corrected in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Coordinate with Construction Manager and project team, relative to contractual safety and security requirements as well as corrective actions required by contractors.
  • Coordinate safety inspections/monitoring with representatives of City's Risk Manager, Clients’ Safety Manager, and others as required.
  • Prepare weekly report on observances, deficiencies, and corrective actions.


RESPONSIBLITIES 

  • Participate in weekly Construction Progress Meeting.
  • Monitor and ensure the correction of non-conforming work.
  • Assist in processing change orders, claims, and revisions to the contractual schedule and budget.
  • Assist in the timely closeout of the construction contract.
  • Other tasks may be assigned.

 

EDUCATION College degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.

CERTIFICATION/TRAINING Safety Training (required OSHA 30 Hour)

EXPERIENCE Ten (10) years and previous experience as a Safety Officer.
