Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
Reports to: VP of Operations
Company Overview
Calcium Products has been helping farmers grow better crops for nearly 40 years. As a leader in calcium-based fertilizers, we manufacture 98G pelletized limestone and SO4 pelletized gypsum for a wide network of ag retailers across the Midwest. We are a stable, growing, people-focused company that takes pride in the work we do and the customers we serve.
We are investing heavily in our Iowa facilities and expanding into new locations, including a new plant in Blair, Nebraska. As we grow, we are hiring a Health & Safety Manager to guide the next phase of safety performance across the company and support our long-term plans.
Our CEO leads the emphasis on safety at Calcium Products. He believes the most important part of his job is making sure employees go home safe to their families every day, and he backs that up with actions. The Safety Manager will have strong support from leadership as we continue building a consistent, proactive safety culture across all locations.
Location
This role needs to be based close to our Iowa operations. Most of the hands-on work happens in Fort Dodge and Gilmore City, and the Safety Manager is expected to be present at one of those sites every workday. That daily presence is important because the job is about working with people, seeing the work as it is happening, and supporting the teams in real time. As we grow and bring new facilities online, including Nebraska, we expect to add safety and training support at those locations as well. The exact structure may evolve as we grow, but the Safety Manager will stay closely connected to that support and provide overall guidance. The heart of this job will always be close, steady support for our Iowa production sites.
