WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As our Health & Safety Manager, you will be the subject matter expert on all safety-related matters within the region. Picture yourself driving in a Papé vehicle, visiting our stores, interacting with managers and members, and providing all the training and resources they need to work in a safe environment. Every day, you will develop and deliver safety-related training, keep our stores informed of any new safety rules and regulations, conduct accident/incident investigations, and perform on-site inspections. To thrive in this role, you should love to promote safety, enjoy a wide variety of job duties, and love working with people.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five years in a management position with demonstrable safety leadership responsibility as a subject matter expert, preferably in the heavy industrial or construction space.
- Prior experience working for a state OSHA office preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite, as well as the ability to create and present safety-related information to a variety of audiences and experience levels.
- Self-motivation with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Availability for extensive overnight travel.
- Must reside in assigned area of region.
Compensation: $90,000-125,000/yr (Depending on Experience)
