Summary of Position
The Warehouse & Quality Specialist works as a part of a
team to receive inbound material, fulfill customer orders and handle material
safely and productively at Corrosion Materials. The primary role of the
Warehouse & Quality Specialist is the active involvement in the process flow
of “Level 1” orders that are shipped to customers in the Navy/Marine industry.

Responsibilities and Duties
At a minimum, the following is a basic description of
typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Warehouse & Quality Specialst. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the
needs of the organization require.
Perform
all duties in accordance with CMI operating procedures to meet the
requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
- Adhere
to customer specifications, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Assist in the receiving and storage of inventory.
- Receive
inbound material, checking the accuracy of goods received against purchase
order by using calipers, micrometer, and tape measure.
- Move
material throughout warehouse using forklift, overhead crane, and/or cart.
- Accurately transcribe data onto material in accordance with job traveler using handheld ink printer, electrochemical etching, scribing/vibro-etching/stamping, or permanent marker.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight trucks.
- Package
material ready for shipment using appropriate crate, skid, or cylinder.
- Process material by measuring, cutting to length using chop saw or band saw, and entering data into computer system.
- Manage
inventory through daily cycle counts.
- Keep
a clean and safe work environment.
- Respect
and adhere to all CMI safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Adhere to all CMI handbook policies and
procedures.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties
The following duties and responsibilities are expected to be
performed in a backup role such as when time permits or if the immediate needs
arise.
- Assist Quality Manager and customer inspectors during inspection of orders.
- Saw cutting, de-burring, and packaging commercial customer orders.
- Create
shipping paperwork, complete bill of ladings, and schedule pick-ups.
