Position Overview
The System Director of Quality Management & Accreditation provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all organizational quality management and accreditation programs.
This role is responsible for leading initiatives related to:
- Quality Management & Performance Improvement
- Accreditation & Regulatory Compliance
- Infection Prevention & Control
- Patient Safety & Risk Management
- Employee Health Screening
- Credentialing & Compliance Programs
The Director partners closely with executive leadership, clinical departments, and operational teams to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care, regulatory readiness, and continuous organizational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead system-wide quality management and accreditation initiatives
- Develop and implement enterprise performance improvement strategies
- Serve as the organizational subject matter expert for accreditation and regulatory compliance standards
- Oversee infection prevention, patient safety, and risk management programs
- Direct credentialing and quality assurance activities
- Utilize PDSA and other quality improvement methodologies to drive measurable outcomes
- Collaborate with clinical and EHR teams to enhance quality reporting and analytics
- Investigate patient complaints and recommend corrective actions when necessary
- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing quality management teams
- Ensure ongoing readiness for accreditation and regulatory surveys
- Support organizational goals related to patient outcomes, compliance, and operational excellence
Qualifications
Required
- Active RN License or comparable clinical degree with healthcare quality management experience
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare administration or performance improvement leadership experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience managing healthcare professionals
- Strong knowledge of accreditation standards, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and risk management
- Proven ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives in a complex healthcare environment
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
