Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Supplier Quality Manager (Level K) to join the newly organized Regional Operations - Structures West team based out of Everett, Washington.

We are seeking an individual with experience managing teams responsible for working with Suppliers. The Manager will have SQ Representatives overseeing Suppliers across the NW Region of the US, Canada & Mexico. The role reports to the BCA Supplier Quality Regional Operations - Structures West Senior Manager.

This role will enjoy and meet the challenges of working in a virtual environment, engaging with core functional teams (SC, SQ, Eng, Program, etc.) based primarily in the Puget Sound region, along with requirements to travel locally and domestically to different structure supplier locations. Our team members recognize and appreciate the autonomy, trust and judgment granted to them, to ensure the oversight of our suppliers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System

  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selectin process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality or Supplier Management

  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience working directly with external Suppliers

  • Experience working with Boeing Supply Chain tools and processes

  • Experience working with quality systems (e.g.  Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100))
