In this position, you will engage in professional and technical safety management tasks to enhance the administration, training, and oversight of safety programs within an engineering district. Your duties will involve creating, organizing, and delivering safety guidance and training, as well as monitoring compliance with safety programs and offering technical support to district and county staff. You will also be responsible for coordinating and maintaining safety policies and procedures, conducting on-site inspections, and managing all aspects of the Accident/Injury Prevention Program.
Furthermore, you will chair the Accident Review Committee, investigate serious injuries and accidents, and ensure that corrective measures are implemented and monitored. Your work will include coordinating and completing accident and injury reports, entering data into safety systems, and managing necessary documentation. As a subject matter expert in safety training, you will conduct OSHA classes, workshops, seminars, and presentations to share information about new programs, processes, and policies.
