Safety Manager
AOI is seeking a Safety Manager to implement and maintain our safety, health, and risk management programs across the organization. This role works closely with operations, field teams, subcontractors, and leadership to reduce risk, ensure compliance, and support safe work practices on a day-to-day basis.

What You’ll Do
- Implement and maintain safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Develop, deliver, and track safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Coordinate the end-to-end workers’ compensation process and support return-to-work efforts.
- Serve as a liaison to the Safety Committee and collaborate with leadership to embed safety in operations.
- Analyze internal safety data to recommend improvements and strengthen workplace safety.
- Ensure adherence to all company and site-specific safety policies and proper use of PPE.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)
- 3+ years of construction safety management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and other federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- First Aid/CPR Certified Instructor (preferred, or upon hire).
- OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Trainer (preferred, or upon hire).
- Experience conducting safety training, audits, and incident investigations.
- Valid driver’s license in Nebraska or Iowa.

Physical Requirements:
- Regular office work; frequent construction site visits with exposure to typical site hazards.
- Must safely navigate uneven terrain, ladders, and weather conditions.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs.
