DescriptionWe are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Coordinator to lead and manage safety efforts for the installation of Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) in a semiconductor facility. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing safety policies, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and site-specific safety requirements. The Safety Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a culture of safety and accountability across all phases of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and procedures
- Lead daily safety briefings, orientations, and training sessions for crews and subcontractors
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and hazard assessments across AMHS install areas
- Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and company safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities, permits, and certifications
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and client safety teams to resolve safety issues
- Monitor and enforce proper use of PPE and safe work practices
- Track and report safety performance metrics to leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of safety coordination experience in construction or industrial environments
- OSHA 30 certification required; CSP, CHST, or other safety credentials preferred
- Experience in semiconductor or cleanroom environments highly desirable
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in safety management systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in dynamic, high-risk environments with attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
