Quality Technician - Jabil, Inc.
Job Summary
Jabil, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Quality Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest quality standards are met for our products through inspection, testing, and documentation, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured products and components according to established specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
* Conduct various tests using appropriate measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product conformity.
* Document inspection and test results accurately and completely, identifying and reporting any deviations or non-conformances.
* Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Collaborate with production personnel to ensure adherence to quality procedures and provide training on quality requirements as needed.
* Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
* Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality processes and systems.
* Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
* 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Demonstrated ability to use various inspection and measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges). CMM experience is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is desirable.
