Quality Technician performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products in the production area. This position will be responsible for the inspection of materials, parts and products at different stages of production. This position will also communicate / train the quality systems to other Mauser Indianapolis employees as needed and records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, government manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondences to both internal and external contacts. Ability to speak effectively with customers and coworkers of all departments within the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, volumes, and cost associated with customer orders. Ability to apply concepts of basic math. Ability to use Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
Education and/or Experience:
Quality background in measurement techniques and analysis preferred.
High School Diploma or GED. At least 2-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
