At ALULA, our Quality team plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of our dietary supplement products. What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll perform hands-on quality and inspection tasks while maintaining a strong working knowledge of processes, policies, and procedures related to food safety, regulatory compliance, and material integrity.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting and maintaining our Quality Management System and Quality Policy
  • Ensuring compliance with SQF Level 2 & 3 standards
  • Following GMPs for Dietary Supplements (21 CFR Part 111), HACCP, OSHA, USDA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Conducting identity testing for dietary supplement ingredients
  • Performing packaging and labeling checks and documenting findings by lot number
  • Completing ATP and allergen testing, interpreting results, and communicating findings
  • Performing final product testing (moisture, bulk density, and other performance testing as required)
  • Conducting receipt inspections of incoming materials
  • Completing environmental microbial sampling and maintaining required documentation
  • Coordinating shipment of product and environmental samples to external laboratories
  • Supporting mock recalls and maintaining traceability records
  • Maintaining ingredient databases and compliance documentation (SDS, Letters of Guarantee, certifications, etc.)
  • Assisting with facility food safety and sanitation inspections

What We’re Looking For

Successful candidates will:

  • Be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Communicate effectively at all levels (verbal, written, and computer-based)
  • Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Have strong basic math skills, including weights, percentages, and basic statistics
  • Demonstrate strong visual inspection skills to assess quality standards
  • Be comfortable performing physical tasks including standing for a full shift and lifting up to 15 pounds regularly (occasionally up to 60 pounds)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (recognized by North Carolina) and at least 1 year of experience in quality, inspections, or manufacturing operations
    OR
  • Degree or certification in a related field with at least 6 months of relevant experience
