We are currently seeking a Quality Manager who has the same desire to prove that  industry can do it!  

 At Fives we all have a part to play in achieving our common purpose. Your role will be to:  

  • Plans and coordinates all aspects of the company’s quality program. Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives, supervises and trains employees and engages in plant functions. Develops and analyzes statistical data and specifications to determine present product standards and establish proposed quality/reliability expectancy. Formulates and coordinates quality objectives with other organizational groups to obtain an economical product/service quality and reliability level. Plans, promotes, and organizes quality training and communication activities.

 

 

 

Requirements

  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Maintains compliance with Giddings & Lewis Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other applicable standards.
  • Supports management review meetings and reports on QMS effectiveness.
  • Coordinates internal audit programs, reporting findings and corrective action follow-up.
  • Liaise with external auditors and certification bodies.
  • Train employees on QMS procedures and requirements and educate and promote understanding of the QMS.
  • Acts as liaison with the customer on contract quality issues for all goods and services produced by the plant.
  • Implements document control systems and coordinates review and approval activities for the Quality Manual, procedures, and work instructions that support our quality system.
  • Responsible for Supplier Development programs and improvements.  Provides recommendations and assists Purchasing with supplier selection or termination actions.  Establishes supplier quality performance metrics.  Performs supplier evaluations including quality control plans and product reviews. Coordinates supplier corrective actions and drives resolution of supplier quality issues.
  • Develops performance measures to assess the effectiveness of quality processes.
  • Establishes formal quality verification systems and standards to assure that all products, components and materials meet company and customer requirements.
  • Implements practices and procedures which will provide a high level of confidence in measuring capabilities throughout the manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Coordinates activities associated with identifying, handling, dispositioning, and reporting on nonconformance, as well as directs analytical efforts intended to eliminate the causes of non-conformance.
