Job Description
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage Quality Staff including Quality Inspectors and Quality Technicians.
• Develop training for and train employees on quality processes.
• Create work instructions and operating procedures for new or changed processes.
• Champion document control system.
• Create instructions for and manage quality sorts and product re-work as needed.
• Champion the QMS, manage ISO program and certification, serve as ISO Management Representative.
• Serve as customer liaison regarding quality issues.
• Lead supplier control and development, including reporting.
• Create, maintain and update visual aids.
• Promote best practices among teams and drive and develop training for process, quality improvements, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and/or participate in APQP functions.
• Manage PPAP’s and ability to perform all PPAP functions including documentation, capability studies, dimensional layout, etc.
• Manage the gage calibration and MSA system including calibrations, GR&R, etc.
• Inspection fixture and gage design
• Manage first article and daily inspections. perform inspections as needed.
• Manage part validation testing including thermal cycling tests. Perform testing as needed.
• Manage IMDS including creation of MDS’s.
• Track and report internal and external quality KPI’s.
• Support Production to insure on-time delivery and adherence to policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Work with Production Manager to reduce cost of quality and customer complaints.
• Establish department goals and supporting metrics based on company objectives.
• Conduct department meetings as required.
• Manage audit program including internal, external, QAV’s, CQI-23 and others as needed.
• Program the CMM and Micro-VU and use various lab equipment.
• Manage and maintain corrective and preventative action systems and lead teams as needed.
• Participate in weekly L10 meetings and EOS planning meetings.
• Track, communicate and facilitate improvements of customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 4 Year College Degree or Equivalent Combination of Education and Work Experience.
• ASQ certification a plus
• ISO9001 Certified Lead Auditor

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated leadership, project management, and facilitation skills.
• Properly manages internal and external deadlines, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Above average written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commitment to reliability and ethical behavior.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Computer literate with above average skills in all Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of IQMS is a plus.
• Proven quality management experience in the automotive industry, preferably with plastic injection molding experience.
• Thorough understanding if ISO and IATF standards, APQP, PPAP/FMEA. SPC, and Corrective/Preventative Action.
• Ability to program CMM, Micro-VU and use various other lab equipment such as micrometers, profilometers, etc.
• Expert in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Thorough understanding of AIAG MSA including GR&R.
• Understanding of IMDS.
• Calibration experience.
• Thorough understanding of problem-solving tools such as 5Y, Ishikawa fishbone, etc.
• Understanding and ability to perform part validation testing.
• Thorough understanding of auditing including system, product, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
• MIXTURE OF CONTROLLED LAB ENVIRONMENT AND SHOP FLOOR.
