Quality Manager

Role Purpose:

The Quality Manager, Operational Excellence & Assurance plays a critical leadership role in supporting the Quality team & operational effectiveness to ensure the systems & technical programs are robust, current, & support the proactive measures that reduce risk. This role is responsible for developing team members, delivering high-quality products, reducing business risk, & partnering on sustainable workflows that drive improvements.

Accountabilities & Impact:

• Strengthen quality culture – Support training & engagement
• Ensure AOP compliance & audit readiness
• QMS implementation & effectiveness
• Represent QFS with internal & external stakeholders
• Develop & strengthen team capability through proactive initiatives & RCA effectiveness checks, partnering closely with ManEx
• Drive operational quality execution by reducing NCR rates, Quality non-conformances (rework), & CAPA’s.
• Lead RCA activities, focusing on implementation & effectiveness
• Deliver results through continuous improvement
• Enable cross-functional risk mitigation through data analysis
• Ensure co-packer quality compliance (internal & external)
• Ensure execution of daily sensory of production

Skills & Experiences Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Proven leadership experience (3+ years) in building and developing high-performing teams; with a demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and empower employees while fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and accountability.
• Relevant Food Safety certifications (HACCP, PCQI, IA, Food defense)
• Working knowledge of TTB, FDA, or similar governance requirements
• Hands on experience in the operation, management and continuous improvement of a QA laboratory

Working conditions:

• Fast-paced and constantly changing work environment.
• Possible off-shift and weekend/holiday work.
• Analytical Laboratory and Manufacturing Environment include: Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles and hazardous chemicals, noise level varies from quiet to loud, temperature varies from hot to cold.
• Navigating stairs.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Sitting and standing for long periods
