Job Summary

Government Services has an immediate opening for a Quality Control Safety Manager in Washington, DC. This role ensures through various audits, inspections, tests, and measures that the EMCOR or Contractor’s personnel performing under this contract follow approved procedures/directives when performing repairs to equipment, performing work under service calls, alterations, and maintenance and variety of electrical, electronic, and HVAC systems.  In addition, the Manager is also responsible for overseeing the project safety program to include providing weekly safety training to all site employees, investigating accidents, and reporting to Corporate Safety and Risk Management Offices and inspecting work sites to ensure proper safety techniques are being utilized by project personnel. The schedule is Monday - Friday 7:00am -3:00pm

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that the procedures, technical manuals, and contractual requirements are compiled with when performing inspection, configuration changes, alterations, testing, and refurbishment operations.
• Performs inspections and audits on preventive maintenance processes, service calls, and maintenance repairs, ensures, through various audits, inspections, tests, and measures, that shop personnel follow approved procedures/directives when performing repairs to equipment, service calls, alterations, and maintenance reports.
• Ensures equipment configurations are returned to normal operational readiness, and overall systems requirements are established and maintained for problem reporting and problem re-occurrence.
• Monitors all operations for ensuring a safe working environment is established and maintained.
• Ensure personnel performing assigned tasks are qualified and certified as required.
• Establishes trend analysis data for process monitoring and problem reporting.
• Documents any corrective actions required when violations of approved practices and procedures are noted and perform follow-up observations when necessary.
• Monitors the management systems for compliance with applicable directives governing recall, maintenance, repairs, and inspections of necessary support items such as documentations, calibration of equipment and material handling devices.
• Inspect procedural documentation, technical manuals and other standards and specifications to ensure they are current, and all applicable changes have been entered.
• Ensure that personnel performing repairs to equipment follow all procedures governing the repair and operation of the applicable equipment.
• Inspects to ensure material handling devices that are used have been recently tested and certified.
• Performs quality assurance audits as planned and directed by the terms of the contract
• Develop trend analysis data of preventive maintenance, service calls and maintenance repairs for monitoring and problem identification.
• Performs, witnesses, monitors, and verify the inspections, repairs, alterations, and tests performed by shop personnel.
• Provides written technical reports to higher-level management concerning all processing and procedure deficiencies, technical problems, and/or potential problems.
• Develop and upload all reports that are required to keep EMCOR compliant with the terms of the contract.
• During severe weather events, the QC/Safety Manager will be required to report to the site and give hourly situational reports with photos. 
• Develops SOP’s, LOP’s and MOP’s for the safe and efficient operation of the Campus.
• Responsible for the overall success of the Quality Control and Safety Program for the Department of Energy Contract at the Washington, DC Forrestal site.  

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in quality control, facility management and safety
• Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent work-related experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Word Processing, Excel and Internet experience required.
• Maximo or similar CMMS system experience a plus
• OSHA 30 Required
• Must be able to obtain a “Q” clearance
