We are looking for an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating workplace safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards for our The UPS Store locations, our Print Center(s) and Warehouse(s). Applying candidate should have knowledge of health systems and policies while ensuring that all safety and health regulations are met. The candidate should provide leadership and guidance to ensure the company's safety culture is maintained and promoted.
Duties and Responsibilities

Policy Development & Compliance: Design and implement comprehensive workplace safety policies, procedures, and manuals to ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards, mitigating any potential preventable injuries.

Safety Training & Communication: Educate team members by leading safety training sessions, establishing emergency response protocols, and ensuring the proper use and maintenance of safety equipment.

Policy Review & Optimization: Conduct ongoing evaluations of existing safety guidelines to ensure they remain current, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Operational Oversight: Monitor daily business operations and proactively identify areas for improving workplace safety regulations and employee well-being.

Inspections & Audits: Perform routine safety audits and physical walk through across all job sites and work areas to identify potential hazards, environmental violations, or areas of concern.

Risk Assessment: Execute targeted risk assessments to proactively eliminate hazards, mitigate workplace accidents, and prevent occupational illnesses by addressing issues of indoor air quality.

Safety & Compliance Focus: Maintain regulatory compliance by preparing and submitting mandatory injury/illness logs and safety reports in accordance with OSHA and local authority requirements. Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, utilizing findings to draft actionable corrective action plans (CAPA) and prevent future occurrences.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a closely related field.

Minimum of 1 year of post-graduation experience in a safety management role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards and federal safety legislation.
- Proven ability to draft and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration.
