The Corporate Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are adhered to across the organization. This role requires the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive safety programs designed to mitigate risk and promote a culture of safety. The manager will conduct regular safety audits, provide training to staff, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations across the organization
  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs
  • Conduct regular safety audits to identify and mitigate risks
  • Provide safety training to staff members
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
  • Investigating and report on accidents and incidents
  • Provide safety training and education to employees
  • Maintain safety records and documentation
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety
  • Manage safety-related projects and initiatives
  • Stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field or
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role and OSHA 500 certification
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations
  • Experience conducting safety audits and risk assessments
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to develop and implement safety training programs
  • Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) CHST. STSC, OHST, or equivalent are preferred

Travel Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs, to attend meetings, trainings, and events. 
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips. 
  • Compliance with company travel policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to travel extensively to job sites

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
  • Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use 
  • Ability to wear all required PPE
  • Ability to work any hours or days as needed
